ITINERARY DETAILS

Day 1: Arrive Bogota

Private, secure, comfortable airport greeting and transfer to your hotel for check-in.


Day 2: Bogota: Gold Museum -Botero Museum – Monserrate Sanctuary

Modern Bogotá is a bustling picturesque metropolis that combines its cultural beauty, architectural past, Colonial churches and pre-Columbian art history with its futuristic new construction projects and modern skyline. Opportunities to explore La Macarena, Parque de la 93, La Zona T, La Zona Rosa for bars and clubs, La Zona G for International Cuisine. Or chose to visit Monserrate Santuary for great panoramic views of the city. Museo de oro and Museo de Fernando Botero are also wonderful ways to spend a day perusing fine art and cultural history.


Day 3: Bogota – Armenia

Private transfer to Bogota airport for flight to Armenia, lovely city in the center of a lovely coffe growing region. Visit an artesanla family-run coffee farm near Montenegro. Learn about coffee production from a local expert to get an idea of the many different steps it takes to produce and supply international markets with world class coffee from plant to cup.


Day 4: Armenia – Salento coffee tour

Drive out of Armenia today to the countryside to enjoy the day in the tourist village of Salento. This is a lovely country drive through the coffee growing region to Salento whci is a charming little town with many shops in the mountins. Later we’ll take a hike to the nearby Cocora Valley. Here grows the huge Wax Palm, the tallest growing palm species and Colombia’s National Plant. Enjoy another coffee tasting and free time to explore Salento and it’s small streets filled with coffee shops, craft stalls and other charming store fronts.


Day 5: Armenia – Medellin

You have the option to fly or drive from Armenia to Medellin. Surrounded by lush hills and fragrant flower farms, this thriving city is currently in the midst of a rebirth. Settle into your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure after traveling.


Day 6: Medellin – Sprawling hillside Historical Medellin

Ride on the cable cars and outdoor escalators that span the sprawling hillside, and learn how public transport and art and music programs have transformed the area into a peaceful, vibrant community. Afterward, opt for a historical tour of Medellín, visit some of the city’s museums, or go shopping.


Day 7: Medellin: Guatapé El Peñol Green Isles

Choose to visit nearby Guatapé, located on the shores of a scenic reservoir. Wander amid the town’s brightly decorated houses, and opt to climb a steep flight of stairs to the summit of El Peñol, a towering monolith that affords breathtaking views of the reservoir’s sparkling waters and lush green isles.


Day 8: Medellin – Cartagena: City Tour

Private transfer to the Medellin airport for your flight to the city of Cartagena on Colombia’s coast and gateway to the Caribbean. Medellin is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a lovely city to walk around discovering charming plazas, churches, and important historic and cultural landmarks. Enjoy an evening cooking class to learn to prepare Caribbean and Colombian fusion dishes.


Day 9: Cartagena Beaches

Beach day! Dress accordingly to enjoy the beach, visit an art and jewlry workshop and try to fashion a souvenir yourself out of natural products. Visit Cartagena’s Gold Museum that houses pre-Colombian pottery and crafts. Chance to take salsa lessons tonight in group or private instrucion.


Day 10: Cartagena- Aiport
