ITINERARY DETAILS

Day 01.- Lima – Arequipa flight

From Lima take a 90 min flight to the White city of Arequipa where you will be greeted and taken by private car to the airport to check in.

Day 02.- Arequipa City Tour: (Hotel)

This day our guide will begin the walk to visit the most important attractions in Arequipa, visiting the Monasterio de Santa Catalina, the Cathedral, the museum of the Juanita mummy.

Then, we will leave for the traditional district of Paucarpata. There we will see Inca and Pre-Inca courtyards, and the beautiful colonial church. Afterwards, we will go to Sabandia, where we will see grains transform into wheat by the force of water. Afterwards, we entered Via Paisajista, so called because of its beautiful landscapes. We will arrive at La Mansión del Fundador (the founder’s man-sion) and the Huasacache Palace, a mansion built in the 16th century.

Day 03.- Sillar Route or tallados in white Stone: (Hotel)

We will start the Ruta del Sillar leaving the city towards the Añashuayco quarry. Here the guide will give us a series of explanations about the process of extracting ashlar, the stone from which most of the buildings around Arequipa’s main square were made. Furthermore, we will have access to infor-mation about the carving, carving and mega-carving carried out by master masons.
Later, we will go to the Culebrillas ravine, a quarry that is not in operation, but where we can walk for 20 minutes through a small canyon formed by water erosion. At the end of the tour, we will see some petroglyphs that we can admire and photograph while our guide gives us some explanations. Then we will return to Arequipa.

Day 04.- Arequipa Colca Canyon: (Hotel)

We will pick you up at your hotel to take the road leaving the city of Arequipa. We will climb in alti-tude along the way, so we will make brief stops to acclimatize. One of these stops will be at Cañahuas Pampa, a reserve where alpacas and vicuñas can be seen. After that, we will make a short stop in Pat-ahuasi. From here, we will head to a place called Tacra, where we can observe the flora and fauna of the region.
We arrived at the hotel to rest.

Day 05.- Colca Condores Flight: (Hotel)

We wake up early to have breakfast at the hotel and then we will take our vehicle to visit Cruz del Cóndor. Here, we can walk around and visit the viewpoint from where you can see some condors in flight. We will also make stops in some cities such as Yanque and Maca, where we can go to local squares and some craft fairs. We will then return to Chivay for lunch. Hotel

Day 06.- Colca – Uyo Uyo- Yanque – Arequipa or Puno: (Hotel)

In the morning, visit the center of Uyo Uyo, in Yanque, in the afternoon we will take the tourist bus to Colca and Puno.
