After you clear immigrations, retrieve your luggage and pass through customs you will be greeted and taken by private van to Miraflores, Lima to check in to your hotel. Overnight Lima.
You will be greeted in your hotel and taken by private van to the Lima airport for your flight to Arequipa. You will be met in the Arequipa airport and taken to your hotel to check in. Free afternoon to explore Arequipa. Overnight Arequipa.
The “White City of Arequipa” is Peru’s second largest and one of its most beautiful cities. Warm and pleasant, Arequipa has more of a desert climate with many cactus and palm trees. You will visit the beautiful cathedral, Santa Catalina Convent and the museum to observe the mummy Juanita, one of oldest and preserved mummies of South America. You will be able to observe the majestic presence of the Misti Volcano. Overnight Arequipa.
After breakfast and hotel checkout you will be met and taken to the Colca Canyon(4-5 hour drive by private van). During the ride you will visit the National Reserve of Cañahuas Pampas to observe groups of Alpacas and Vicunas. The drive through Vizcachani, a typical landscape of the Andes, offers a panoramic view of the White Mountain range. Visit the hanging Pre-Inca tombs, the small cities of Pinchillo, Maca, the town of Shames Anvil (visiting its church with cusqueñan paintings) and Chivay. Later you will arrive at the hotel. After breakfast you will be taken to the viewpoint of “The Cross of the Condor”, a few kilometers from Condor Cabana where the Colca Canyon starts. Here hopefully you’ll witness the wonderful spectacle of the flight of the Condors. Following you will continue 6-7 hours to Puno by private tourist van to check in to your hotel. Puno is at 3,860 meters. Restaurants and shops are 1 block from hotel. Overnight Puno.
After an excellent breakfast, you will be taken to Lake Titicaca for a visit to the floating man-made Islands of Uros on a group motor yacht tour. Here you will meet, up-close the citizens who have preserved their old traditions and still live on the water. “The Aquatic Tribe” will show you how they have kept their customs, make their islands and display their crafts made of reeds. The motor yacht tour then continues to the island of Taquile, inhabited by native Quechuas. On Taquile, you can appreciate and purchase some of the finest handmade crafts and basket weavings in Perú to support the very friendly and welcoming island people. Typical lunch included on Taquile of fresh lake trout or a vegetarian option. Overnight Amantani Island family home stay.
After breakfast you will check-out of your hotel, be greeted and driven 8-9 hours to Cusco. Stopping along the way you will visit the Sistine Chapel of the Andes, Andahuaylillas, the temple ruins at Raqchi, stop for a sit-down relaxing buffet Andean lunch, La Raya, the highest point on the route at over 4,300 meters elevation and Pukara to see the ancient pre-Incans artifacts. When you arrive in Cusco you will be taken to your hotel to check in. Overnight Cusco.
In the afternoon you will be met at your hotel for the Cusco City Tour by private car. Visit Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo Puca Pucara. After completion of the tour you will be returned to your hotel. Overnight Cusco.
You cannot bring large luggage on the train. Store the bulk of your luggage in the hotel’s secure storage and get a claim check. Bring an overnight bag for the next 3 nights. Bring train and Machu Picchu tickets, passport & immigration card with you today. You will need passports to board the train to Aguas Calientes/Machu Picchu. You will be picked up at your hotel to begin your tour of the beautiful Sacred Valley. This ride through the land of the Incas first stops in Pisaq then Ollantaytambo. In the afternoon enjoy a typical Andean buffet lunch. Optional visit to a local artisan pottery factory or market. Overnight Ollantaytambo.

After breakfast you will be met by your guide and taken on an unforgettable tour of Machu Picchu. Arrive early to see the sunrise from inside the park if you wish. Enjoy a 3 hour guided tour with your guide and later have time to hike and explore on your own. When finished, take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes (20 minutes) to board your train to Ollantaytambo (2 hours). Walk the 3 minutes up to the Tunupa Lodge. Overnight Ollantaytambo.
After breakfast check out and bring everything wit you. On the way back to Cusco visit the agricultural site of Moray where the Inca tested new growing techniques in the deep circular steps. Next visit the working salt terraces of Salineras where salt is still mined from a small mountain stream. Overnight Cusco.
You be met in your hotel and escorted (walk) to the Temple of Coricancha for the presentation of the Inca and his wife. In today’s Inti Raymi Festival all of the significant Sun Festival rituals are re-enacted. This special day also includes The New Fire Celebration. No fires were allowed in the city this day until the fire created by parabolic mirror was used to concentrate the sunlight onto animal fur used as kindling. Only then were all other fires started from this source. You will also see the Inca representative carried on a litter and toasted with chicha (a fermented drink). In an the appropriate finale, The Inca gives a speech in the native Quechua language.

Check out of hotel. Early you will be met in Lima by private car and taken 3 hours south to Paracas on the Pacific Ocean. After checking in to your hotel you will be driven to the Paracas National Park for a delightful motor yacht tour of the Ballestas Island, also known as the “Small Galapagos”. Although the island is off limits to people so as not disturb the wildlife, your tour boat will get close enough for you to observe its amazing wildlife inhabitants such as pelicans, penguins, cormorants, Peruvian boobies, Inca terns and walruses. Keep your eyes open also for sea lions, turtles, dolphins, and whales. You will also be treated to a site from sea of the Paracas Candelabra. This is an ancient etching in the sand that may have been a beacon to sailors from long ago. After the boat tour you will continue on 3.5 hours to Nazca to check in to your hotel. Overnight Nazca.
After breakfast checkout of your hotel . You will be taken to the Nazca airfield for your aerial tour of the Nazca lines. The giant figures etched in the sand at Nazca can only be appreciated fully by air. See the Monkey, the spider, spaceman, hummingbird and geometric birds. These mysterious huge “drawings” are possibly an astrological calendar but their construction and true intent are a mystery still. After the tour you will be driven 7 hours back to your Lima hotel. “The City of the Kings” tour visits the Plaza Mayor Lima, Cathedral of gold, followed by a tour of the catacombs at the Convento San Francisco. These are the most popular tourist attractions in Lima. The tour comes to a close in one of the most beautiful residential districts in Lima, Miraflores. There you will visit the only pre-Inca ruin remaining there, Huaca Pucllana. Constructed in the 2nd century AD. Return to hotel after the tour. Overnight Lima.
