The term boutique hotel originates from the Europe of the 80s. It is used to define those hotels with intimate and unconventional environments, generally with a luxury denotation.
They tend to be small hotels, with few rooms, with their own personality and identity, and in many cases located in old buildings (castles, mansions, or historical centers). They offer, unlike the big hotel chains, personalized services and attention, great privacy and are endowed with extraordinary facilities. They are usually set in a specific style or theme.
Aranwa Cusco Boutique Hotel is the essence of luxury and comfort in the heart of the Inca city. A museum hotel built in a colonial mansion of the XVI century, which houses more than 300 pieces of art between paintings of the Cuzco school, colonial sculptures and carvings which transport us to the greatness of the time. The elegant rooms are equipped with intelligent oxygen system and heating floor in the bathrooms for a great stay.
The hotel is located on 255 San Juan de Dios Street, near Regocijo Square, 2 blocks from the Main Square of Cusco.
Located in a quiet square behind the main square of Cusco, this ancient palace and convent emerges after years of restoration to become one of the most exclusive hotels in the city.
Its Inca stone walls, the courtyard of the cloister and the old fountain are witnesses of a manorial past. But it will suffice to venture further to discover contemporary Cusco-a fabulous spa, the city’s first outdoor pool and an elegant restaurant that offers the best of local cuisine.
This intimate refuge has only 55 suites, each of them enriched with oxygen and with its own bar stocked with the best ingredients so your butler can prepare delicious drinks and cocktails.
The first boutique hotel in Cusco, Inkaterra La Casona is located in the traditional Plaza de las Nazarenas, surrounded by vibrant, cobblestoned streets. This 16th Century manor house stands on the training grounds for an elite army of Incas, and had Spanish Conquistador Diego de Almagro and ‘Libertador’ Simón Bolívar among its illustrious guests.
After being harmoniously restored by Inkaterra throughout five years, emphasizing its original architecture, Inkaterra La Casona reflects the encounter of cultures and traditions across centuries. Surrounding the main patio, its 11 suites are provided with chimneys, heated floors and extra-large bathtubs. Its halls are decorated with colonial furniture, Pre-Columbian textiles and original murals.
The Yacu therapy room offers bespoke treatments and, like the manor’s dining room, uses products derived from local sources. Those who sleep within the stone walls, beneath the exposed beams, gain a deeper understanding to the city’s cultural heritage.
It is a fascinating residence located in the historic center of Cusco that combines the ancient Inca tradition with the sophistication of the great European capitals.
