The Traveler’s Choice awards, organized by the popular TripAdvisor travel page, revealed the list of the 25 most popular attractions in the world, which included as the only Peruvian representative to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.
This ranking was drawn up according to the comments and votes of the thousands of TripAdvisor users over the last 12 months. The publication had already shared the winners in the categories of destinations, beaches, hotels and airlines.
In the top 10 of the most popular attractions of 2017 are several cathedrals, churches, mosques, squares and archeological complexes from Europe and Asia.
It should be noted that Machu Picchu is the only South American destination to appear in the first places of the list.
